Survey on mobility behaviour has started

Have you received an email recently with the subject “Umfrage zum Mobilitätsverhalten: Bitte um Ihre Beteiligung / Survey on mobility habits”?

Please make the most of this opportunity to contribute your expertise about your location to this important survey. We can only gain a representative result if we receive a large number of individual assessments.

Who is the survey aimed at?

All staff at FAU (without UKER) are invited to participate. A separate invitation will be sent to students.

How can you take part in the survey?

The survey will be available from December 4, 2023 until December 22, 2023.

Please click on the link in your email invitation.

How much time should it take?

It should take approximately 10 minutes for you to answer the questions. Please feel free to complete it during working time.

Further FAQ’s:

Why is FAU conducting a survey into mobility habits?

Universities are the source and target of what are at times major flows of traffic. Mobility management deals with the active control of this traffic, with the aim of achieving more sustainable and environmentally friendly mobility. For this to be successful, we need to design an individual combination of a number of methods and measures, based on the information we gather concerning the mobility habits of members of FAU.

I work at more than one location at FAU. How should I fill in the questionnaire?

There is a separate section in the questionnaire dedicated to short business journeys, so you only need to fill in one questionnaire. However, if you have more than one official place of work (for instance Institute 1 and Institute 2), please fill in separate questionnaires for each place of work.

What happens after the survey?

We will explore options for improving our mobility services based on the current mobility habits of staff at FAU. In addition, we hope that the survey will make a further contribution to protecting the environment and encouraging sustainability at FAU.

How will your data be used?

Participation is entirely voluntary. The information you give will of course be evaluated anonymously.  The survey was designed in consultation with the Data Protection Officer and the General Staff Council. Data are saved, evaluated and published at FAU at a level that does not allow any conclusions to be drawn concerning individuals.

What else is important to know?

The survey will be conducted by PB Consult GmbH from Nuremberg within the context of designing a mobility concept. Further information on this as well as data protection is available on the Green Office’s website for the mobility concept.

We look forward to hearing from you and are pleased that you are committed to supporting this important process.
